The Take The Hill Triathlon is staged on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN and is operated by the Epsilon Pi Alpha Fraternity and community volunteers.

A year before graduating from Gustavus Adolphus College, Peter Nerothin, an alumnus of Epsilon Pi Alpha, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. He would go on to found an internationally recognized non-profit, Insulindependence, making it his life's goal to help people with diabetes lead healthy and active lifestyles. As an ultra-endurance runner and triathlete with diabetes, Nerothin has supported people with diabetes worldwide by breaking the stereotype they are inactive and unhealthy.

All proceeds from this event go directly to Insulindependence and its affiliate partner, Triabetes. We are proud supporters of Insulindependence, and have a personal connection to its mission: multiple members of the Epsilon Pi Alpha Fraternity have had Type 1 diabetes over the last decade.
